The New England Journal of Medicine recently published the results of the DELIVER cardiovascular research trial for which Virginia Heart, with Dr. Tariq Haddad and Dr. Subash Bazaz as Principal Investigators, was the leading enroller in the United States, accounting for 10% of all US patients in the trial. 

This study showed an 18% reduction in combined risk of worsening heart failure or cardiovascular death with the use of Dapagliflozin for diastolic heart failure. The Virginia Heart Research Center, lead by Dr. Tariq Haddad,  is dedicated to providing our patient the opportunity to participate in cutting-edge research and obtain therapies not otherwise available to them.
