Tariq A. Aziz, MD, specializes in congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology and internal medicine and is board eligible in cardiac CT and echocardiography. “I am fascinated with cardiac physiology and firmly believe that to be a successful cardiologist, you have to treat how cardiovascular disease affects the heart, as well as how it affects the patient as a whole,” he said.
Dr. Aziz earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and pursued his internship and residency at Georgetown University Hospital. He completed his fellowship in cardiology at the Penn State University Hershey Medical Center.
A busy father of four, Dr. Aziz enjoys biking, hiking, swimming and playing tennis. He plays on an adult soccer team and also coaches two of his kids’ soccer teams.
