Dr. Benton is the chief of cardiology at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital.

Dr. Benton became interested in medicine at a young age and focused his attention on cardiology beginning in medical school.  "In medical school I always considered the heart to be the most important organ. The more I learned about the things that could go wrong in the cardiovascular system, the more I knew I wanted to be a part of the solution."  His goal is to use his knowledge and experience to help educate his patients about their disease(s) and allow them to make informed decisions about their cardiovascular care.

Dr. Benton enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, traveling, and trying new restaurants.  He is a loyal fan of the New York Yankees and Giants and also plays recreational softball year-round.
