James Duc, MD, specializes in cardiac electrophysiology including pacemaker and defibrillator implantation and radiofrequency ablations to correct arrhythmias. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease, clinical cardiac electrophysiology and internal medicine. “During my career, I have seen a dramatic evolution of electrophysiology technology and that has made a significant difference in my ability to improve the lives of my patients who suffer with arrhythmia issues,” he said.

Dr. Duc earned his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University and pursued his internship and residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has completed fellowships in research cardiology at Johns Hopkins University; in cardiology at Georgetown University Medical Center; and in electrophysiology at Temple University Hospital and Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University.

Dr. Duc grew up in Northern Virginia and admits to being a long-suffering Redskins fan who is doing his best to pass the tradition on to his sons.
